Bayhealth is Central and Southern Delaware’s largest health care system.  We are comprised of Bayhealth Kent Campus, Bayhealth Sussex Campus, the freestanding Smyrna Emergency Department, and numerous satellite facilities and employed physician practices across the state. 

Bayhealth seeks an experienced Patient Access Manager, with exemplary communication, problem solving and analytical skills, to oversee and provide leadership in the Pre Arrival Scheduling Center (PASC).    

Responsibilities include managing the daily operations of the scheduling call center including but not limited to: demographical and insurance data collection, outpatient diagnostic scheduling, pre-registration, registration, financial clearance, payment collections, and document management for hospital services. 

Essential functions and key accountabilities include ensuring effective and efficient coordination of services; promoting an open, cohesive team environment in this fairly new department; developing strong relationships with organizational leaders; maintaining compliance and comprehensive knowledge of regulatory requirements; and developing/ implementing actions plans to support departmental goals, objectives and metrics. 

Qualifications include: 

Education: Bachelor’s Degree is required. 

Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in a healthcare management/supervisor role.  Individual must have Patient Access & Revenue Cycle experience, specifically within the Centralized Scheduling space. 

Computer / Software: Knowledge of hospital information systems and Microsoft office required. Experience with Epic EMR preferred. 

Licensure / Certification: CHAM, CPAM or other hospital revenue cycle certifications preferred. 

Special Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities: Excellent communication skills, requiring proficiency in reading, writing and speaking English; as well as exemplary problem solving & analytical skills.
