SUMMARY OF JOB:

The Accounting Manager reports to the Holy Redeemer Health System Vice-President of Finance. The role requires sound knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and proficiency in the preparation of the financial statements of various entities within the health system. In addition, the role will manage the audit process for HRHS during the consolidated financial statement audit providing information to auditors as required or requested in an expeditious manner.

Responsible for the preparation of monthly financial statements, account analysis, preparation of the annual budget for multiple HRHS entities, inclusive of the accounting for Foundation funds and use of those funds as well as grant funds. Also responsible for the preparation of federal tax forms for all HRHS entities. This candidate will perform the consolidation of the monthly HRHS financial statements, inclusive of the preparation of the monthly financial package and Stewardship / Partnership presentation, following up with service-line Vice presidents to verify accuracy of financial information..


RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS:

-The successful candidate will be a Bachelor Degreed Accountant, a Certified Public Accountant is preferred, but not required; an MBA is also preferred but not required. A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Accounting with at least three (3) years of experience within healthcare finance. This position will require a working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and consolidated financial statements. In addition, the candidate should have experience with not-for-profit accounting, specifically the accounting for grants and restricted gifts / assets. Knowledge of PeopleSoft General Ledger and Accounts Payable systems is a plus.

-The candidate must have exceptional verbal and written communications skills. This position requires ongoing communications with other members of Senior Management on a routine basis.

-Knowledge of operating and capital budget development and forecasting is required.
